Yesterday we announced a dedicated team focused on direct merchant account placement, gateway and other specialized merchant services.

Actually, Cathy won. She was named Business Woman of the Year (!) at the 2018 YNOT Awards, announced September 15th in Prague, and we couldn’t be prouder. You may recall that Cathy was nominated back in July. Apparently, lots of people voted for her. 🙂 If you were one of them, thank you! And thanks again to YNOT for nominating Cathy and Segpay. Cathy recorded some words of her own to share her appreciation:
In a move to accommodate the preferences of even more paying consumers, Segpay has expanded the types of credits cards it accepts for payment. (Warning: Obvious Statement ahead)… When more consumers can use their preferred payment methods, it generally means more business for our merchants, and that’s why we’re here!
You may recall seeing our announcement in December that Segpay is upgrading to TLS 1.2 encryption soon and ending support for older versions of TLS. As a reminder, when this happens, anyone attempting to submit payment through Segpay must be on a browser that supports TLS 1.2 or their payment won’t go through.
Everyone likes a fresh start to the new year, and we are no different. Last week at the Internext and XBiz shows Segpay unveiled a new logo and branding.
We are proud to announce that the newest board member of the Free Speech Coalition (FSC) is SegPay CEO, Cathy Beardsley. Cathy joins the 13-member board, which represents the adult entertainment industry by advocating for government policies and promoting the growth and expansion of adult businesses.
Earlier this year SegPay upgraded to the latest encryption technology (known as TLS 1.2) for protecting sensitive data transmitted between SegPay and our banks and other financial partners. This means that when you make a payment through SegPay, your data is protected with state-of-the-art technologies that conform to PCI’s latest standards for data security.
We are really proud to announce that two of our teammates have been nominated for a 2018 XBiz Exec award – Cathy Beardsley for Chief Executive of the Year, and Kristi Greer for Account Executive of the Year. Industry peers chose the nominees and will vote online via the business social network XBiz.net from now until the winners are announced at the XBiz 2018 show, January 15-19 in Los Angeles. We ask all members to please vote for Cathy and Kristi! 🙂
As you may know, SegPay is headquartered in South Florida, which is currently in the path of Hurricane Irma, one of the most powerful storms ever recorded in the Atlantic. We have called this area home since 2005 – our entire existence – so we’ve been through this before. And while our main office is in FL, key parts of our operation are spread around the US and the world to ensure we continue delivering the payment services you are counting on, with the least possible disruption during the storm and its aftermath. For example:
